A business mentor is not just there to instruct you. Getting a mentor to help you more is the best option for aspiring or first time entrepreneurs because he or she is somebody from whom you learn. And once you find the able advisor for your business, you can make the best use of her or his experience. A mentor is more of a friend, someone will who care and will not even hesitate when it is time to shout at you.
The relationship with your mentor is to last a long term as he or she guides you through all the vicissitudes of your business. The first few years of your business are extremely crucial. It is the time, when both your business venture and you yourself remain most vulnerable. At times, you may feel lonely and lost. This is the time, when you need an expert to advise you and to provide you with all the support.

Things to look in a mentor, especially, in business mentorship, are plenty. Chances are that you are planning to take a plunge in fascinating world of entrepreneurship. Perhaps you are a software wizard who has come up with an unbeatable solution to an industry problem. Or may be, you are a financial wiz-kid who knows the world of finance inside out, and wish to use to knowledge of finance to bankroll a project. The situations might be different, but all of them have a common thread passing through them.
In all these cases, you are an aspiring entrepreneur who has an ace up your sleeve and believe that you can change the way the world functions.
